Master Ear Seeding with Our Suggested Protocols

Placed on key points such as Shen Men, Point Zero, Heart, Stomach, Sympathetic, and Adrenal, ear seeds are traditionally used to support:

  • Calm for stress and anxiety
  • Rest for deeper sleep
  • Energy for daily vitality
  • Digestion and appetite balance
  • Hormonal equilibrium

By stimulating specific acupressure points—including Shen Men, Heart, Stomach, Sympathetic, and Adrenal—ear seeds can influence the body’s stress and energy pathways. Several of these points also engage the auricular branch of the vagus nerve, which is closely tied to the parasympathetic nervous system. This gentle activation supports the body’s ability to shift out of “fight or flight” and into a state of rest, digestion, and renewal.

Point Zero is situated in the center of the ear lobe, just below the helix (the raised ridge of cartilage at the top of the ear). Benefits of stimulating point zero include:

  • Stress and Anxiety: Point Zero is often used to reduce stress, anxiety, and insomnia.
  • Pain Relief: It can also help alleviate pain, particularly chronic pain or pain related to specific conditions such as temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJ).
  • Emotional Regulation: Point Zero is believed to promote emotional balance and help individuals cope with trauma or difficult experiences.
  • Overall Well-being: Some practitioners believe that stimulating Point Zero can enhance overall well-being and promote a sense of grounding.

What else you should know

  • Swab ears with alcohol pad before applying the adhesive to make sure your ears are rid of any oils or lotions.
  • Once your seeds are on, press them for 10-15 seconds twice daily to reactive the points
  • Wear the ear seeds for 3-7 days or until they fall off
  • You should feel pressure and perhaps even a little soreness after applying your seeds, but they shouldn't hurt. We are applying pressure, not piercing!
  • It takes a little getting used to! If you're a side sleeper, you will probably feel the seeds when you lie down. If your ears are a little sore, try sleeping on your back.
  • Ear seeding is a skill! Don't worry if it takes you a few tries to apply them just right. You'll get the hang of applying them.

Happy seeding!
